History

Nanteos Woodland Group has also been involved in many smaller projects. Schools in the district have benefited from playground activity areas being installed and tree planting schemes being carried out. All projects have had an emphasis on education and the children's participation has been paramount. Many woodland walks have been created in the Ystwyth Valley, with benches, sculptures and information boards put in place for the use of local community members and visitors to the area. We have created walks and recreational facilities in unmanaged woodland areas adjoining high density population areas in the vicinity, creating a much needed resource for the residents, without direct access to the countryside.
