Website Design for Self-Catering Holiday Accommodation Goes Live

Friday, March 11th, 2011

The latest Pixelwave Web Design site has just been released.

The brochure style website is for a local self-catering holiday accommodation provider here in Borth, West Wales. Their latest property boast stunning views over Cardigan Bay and accommodation for up to 10 people.

Pixelwave Web Design has worked with these clients before and was therefore given free reign over the design and layout of the website and also provided advise on the information architecture and copy for the site. I also sourced photos for the website and have organised a photo shoot for the interior of the property which will be carried out soon. The new photos will be added to the site as soon as they are ready.

I’m pleased with the final result, as are the clients.

Website Design for Golf Club in Wales

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011

It may have taken a while to get this contract and get the go ahead to start work on it, but that makes it all the more satisfying.

Pixelwave Website Design has recently started work on a brand new website for the Borth & Ynyslas Golf Club. I don’t play golf myself (yet!) but our house is pretty much built on the Borth & Ynyslas Golf Course so it is well known to me. Their current website is old and out of date and has been for some time now, so I was pleased when they approached me to discuss building them a new website.

Golf Club Website Design

Website Design For Golf Club

Some of the committee members weren’t really sure what they wanted from a website so I’ve been making suggestions and coming up with plenty of ideas for them before getting the project underway. It’s taken a long time and several changes of committee members at the Golf Club to get the project in motion but after much planning and discussion, I’ve now started work on it.

It was decided in the end to keep things fairly simply just so that the project could get off the ground. So, their new website will be based around a Content Management System that will allow staff at the Golf Club to update the website quickly and easily whenever they wish. They won’t need any website design knowledge to do so and won’t need to return to me for updates. This means that not only will their website have a completely new look, but the content of the site should remain up to date and more engaging for its visitors.

The new look will hopefully reflect the long history of the Borth & Ynyslas Golf Club – it is the oldest course in Wales - whilst also bringing it up to date with a more modern feel to reflect it’s current status as a modern championship venue. The site will provide information on the course itself, club membership and the facilities and services available. It will also provide an online booking facility and provide both members and non-members with the latest news, event details and scorecard information.
