Beacons Active is a group of tourism operators who have come together to actively promote the Brecon Beacons across the UK and internationally as a destination..

The Beacons Active website is a fairly complex dynamic website that allows members to upload a business profile and then submit events and activities that are happening across the Brecon Beacons area. It contains a business listings directory, a What's on Guide and latest news section as well as several static pages about the site.

Part funded by the Tourism Partnership of Mid Wales, of which Pixelwave Web Design is a selected Web Design provider, the site had to conform to strongent accessibility guidelines. Search Engine Optimisation and conformability were also importnat condierations during work on this project.

UPDATE: Jan 2011 - Pixelwave Web Design has recently re-designed and revamped the Beacons Active website to fit in with their new branding.
